so here is my contribution to the second speed sculpt since I "missed" the first one. this took me 3 hours and is actually not finished. I had plans to put a small saddle and harness right behind the yoke but not enough time. so we have here some giant rhino type thing, roughly 15-20 ft tall.
Looks like he has a harness or something around his neck, was that to go with the saddle you want to add. This is realy cool Cole. I like the cartoony feel to him. I thik you should take this to finish.
ReplyDeleteI agree, this pudgy guy has lots of character and you should definitely continue. I love the skin flaps and obesity its got going on, I can tell its grazed one field of grass too many.
ReplyDeletethanks guys, I definitely plan to finish him up, add a rider and whatnot. I'm actually pretty proud of myself on this one, considering I came up with the concept about an hour before I started and the sculpt looks exactly like the concept.
ReplyDeleteKahi: yes that goes with the saddle and its actually a yoke, like with oxen. I'm thinking now of putting some boxes and crates straped around his body and maybe a palaquin thingy on the top.
sweet man, you should be proud of this one. I think it reads great, and has alot of potential. See now whatever you sculpt for the next one can be the rider. Love to see this finished bro.
ReplyDeleteHe's a cute looking guy- definitely has strong character to it. I think it's an interesting blend between sculptural detailing and stylization (most things out there are one or the other).
